MAY MEETING | EASTERN SHORE CAMERA CLUB

Join us for our May meeting as we enjoy a very special presentation by Thomas Colvin, III, on the topic of "Dramatic Lighting and Creative Sports Photography". Some call Thomas Colvin, III, an artist and some refer to him as a photographer. However, he prefers the term, visual creative. Thomas is a native of Dothan, Alabama. He received his B.S. in Commercial Art with a minor in Visual Art from Alabama A&M University. In the 90’s, he traveled the east coast, the south, and the midwest displaying his unique style of art which revolves around the use of light and figures to evoke emotion. In 2012, he left Huntsville, moved to Atlanta and began his photography journey. Once comfortable with the camera doodads, he put his eye for painting into his photography. In 2023, he retired and opened StudioThree, a creative photography space in a repurposed elementary school in Dothan, AL. Thomas’ artistic gifts are now showcased in his use of dramatic lighting and sports photography.
